Hi, I’m Katie — founder and lead teacher at The Hive. I hold a master’s degree in creative writing and am currently halfway through a doctorate in history. Alongside teaching, I run a small marketing and web design agency. As a veteran homeschool mom, I know how powerful it is when kids feel excited about learning, supported to explore, and free to ask questions. That’s why I created The Hive—a place where students thrive as they discover new ideas, build confidence, and connect deeply with their studies.

When I’m not teaching or working, you’ll find me reading, writing, watching British crime television, and hanging out with my family.
